Tuakau Station Sit In 11 September 2010
250 people attended the Tuakau station Sit In on 11th September 2010. In total over 400 North Waikato residents came to the sit in's held at Tuakau, Te Kauwhata and Huntly stations. The Sit In was organised as part of the Waikato Trains Now/Vote Trains campaign.
Photos and video from the Train Station Sit-Ins:
Over 400 people came to Huntly, Te Kauwhata and Tuakau station platforms demanding Waikato rail services on September 11 at 11am.

Local council and mayoral candidates spoke at a number of the stations. There is enormous demand from North Waikato for rail services. The time for Waikato Trains is NOW!
Please take time to arrange a meeting with your local MP in Hamilton
East/West, Te Kauwhata and Tuakau to discuss their level of active
support for the train services. MP's are elected to work for your
community. Remind them of that. Remind them your community wants Waikato commuter train services now, not in 2020!
